At Forward Motion we consult on creativity, problem solving, and innovation.
If you are interested in improving your organizations creativity, developing programs for innovation, or understanding what might be involved in solving a problem or challenge you are facing we can help.
Following are descriptions of the different consultation services we offer:
- Initial consultation
- Open-ended consultation

Initial consultation:
The initial consultation is a free half hour conversation providing an overview of your situation and clarifying questions to determine if creativity, problem solving, or innovation is appropriate, and if so what the best approach might be.
Open-ended consultation:
Open-ended consultation may include discussions, training, one-on-one development, or any other activities that are not specifically covered by other Forward Motion services.
Preliminary situational analysis
A preliminary situational analysis provides data to determine what direction is most likely to achieve the desired goal. Deliverables will vary depending on the needs of the client.
Full analysis and proposal
A full analysis acquires complete information regarding the person, organization, challenge, or problem. It includes an appropriate application of the following elements,
- Examination of the 4 P’s (person, process, product, and press [environment])
- Strategic planning analysis
- Administration of measures to personnel
- Problem clarification sessions
- Resource/asset clarification sessions
- Leadership analysis
The information gathered is analyzed and a final, specifically tailored, proposal is provided that will contain,
- Clarification of the initial challenge
- All gathered data (confidentiality is paramount)
- Interpretation of the data, including areas of strength and weakness, in relation to creativity, problem solving, and/or innovation
- Proposed remedial action for initial challenge
- Suggested areas that may require remedial action (potential challenges)
Further or alternative work can be conducted depending on situational needs.
